EL TIGRE GOLF COURSE opened March 2, 2002 and is located in the Nuevo Vallarta 10 minutes north of the Puerto Vallarta International airport. Paradise Village’s EL TIGRE was designed by Robert von Hagge and the Von Hagge Group in response to the challenge, “Create the most exciting championship golf course in Mexico.” Reports say that EL TIGRE is “light-heartedly referred to as the most challenging golf course in Mexico,” yet the course is also considered quite forgiving to less experienced golfers mainly due to the wide fairways and five tees per hole. The terrain is flat with numerous – some say too numerous – strategically placed bunkers and small lakes; many look forward to enjoying this course more as it matures over time.
